Two Mt. Vernon Firefighters who were close by respond to help! The fire was under control quickly.

     If you must burn outside:
1)  Always obtain a burning permit.
2)  Have the ability to call 911 quickly.
3)  Do not hesitate to call 911 at the first indication that
     the fire is out of control.
4)  Give a clear location of the fire.
